What is Distance Reiki Healing and how does it work?
Distance Reiki is a technique within the system of Reiki that enables the practitioner to give a Reiki session beyond the limitations of time and space.
Distance Reiki works according to the Hermetic Law of Similarity, which holds that we are all connected, as we are all energy matter and part of a larger whole. As such, invoking this law during a distance Reiki session allows the practitioner to link an object to the energy field of the recipient.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning ‘Universal Life Energy’.Reiki originates from the infinite source of all there is.
It is the conscious energy essence of Divine Love which is the vital impulse for all Life to come into existence.
Reiki is the energy of Life Force that is guided by an underlining intelligence to balance, heal and harmonise all aspects of the person, the Mind, the Emotions, the Body and the Spirit. It is a completely holistic healing system.
How does Reiki work?
Life force energy moves through the body in a field called the Aura. This energy is influenced by thoughts and feelings.
It becomes blocked when a person becomes overexposed to stress or other negative emotions. Reiki helps to remove these blockages by clearing and strengthening the energy pathways, and allowing the life force energy to flow in a healthy way once more.
By realigning the energy, it helps the body to heal physical problems and can even open the mind to receive messages about the causes of ‘disease’, thus allowing one true power over one’s health.
How is a Reiki treatment carried out?
Reiki treatments are carried out fully clothed (apart from shoes) and be done in person or at a distance.
A session usually lasts from an hour to an hour and a half. During a treatment the hands of the practitioner are placed and held in specific locations over the body, without pressure or manipulation. The experience leaves you feeling deeply relaxed and energized at the same time.

What is Crystal Reiki?
The combination of crystals (“laying-on of stones”) and Reiki is an energetic bond, resulting in healing on every level of one’s being – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Energy blockages and stagnation are easily cleared by this powerful duo. The recipient feels lighter, calmer, centered, and relaxed.
The session itself is very similar to a Reiki treatment – the client lies fully clothed and comfortable on a massage table, as the practitioner’s hands lightly touch, or hover slightly above, the client to allow the Reiki energy to flow in and around the client. However, in the Reiki Crystal Healing session, the practitioner also utilizes carefully chosen crystals to enhance and amplify the healing results of the Reiki energy.
How long is the Reiki session?
A short Reiki healing session can take 45 minutes.
A full standard Reiki healing session take between 60-75 minutes. A crystal Reiki healing session take between 90-100 minutes.
